Trio of upsets on Day 1

The quarter-final round is set after an action-packed opening day at the 2026 BC School Sports Girls Basketball Provincial Championships at Langley Events Centre.

Sixty-four teams — split into four 16-team tournaments — tipped off Wednesday, with upsets shaking up each division.


1A Tournament

Three opening-day upsets propelled the No. 10, 12, and 14 seeds into the quarter-finals.
