Trio of upsets mark Day 1 of 2A Tournament

Day 1 is complete at the BC School Sports Boys Basketball Provincial Championships.

A total of 64 teams — competing across four tiered tournaments — tipped off four straight days of wall-to-wall action at Langley Events Centre.

The tournament resumes Thursday with the quarterfinal round, beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Tickets are available for purchase and every game of all four championships is also available to stream through pay-per-view at TFSETV.ca. Daily schedules, scores and news can also be found at www.bchighschoolbasketballchampionships.com.


A trio of upsets highlighted the opening day of the BC School Sports 2A Boys Basketball Provincial Tournament on Wednesday at Langley Events Centre with two of the underdogs set to clash in the quarter-final round on day two.

3:30pm – King George Dragons (#4) vs. Surrey Christian Falcons (#5)

5:15pm – Notre Dame Jugglers (#1) vs. Westsyde Whundas (#9)

7:00pm – Collingwood Cavaliers (#2) vs. Langley Christian Lightning (#7)

8:45pm – Summerland Rockets (#14) vs. Kalamalka Lakers (#11)

All four games will be played on South Court.
