Thunder top seed for 1A Girls Tournament

The road to a provincial title is officially set.

The Acwsalcta Thunder (Bella Coola) enter as the team to beat in the 2026 BC School Sports 1A Girls Basketball Provincial Tournament, which runs February 25-28 at Langley Events Centre.

Rounding out the top four seeds are the Cedars Christian Eagles (Prince George), Duncan Christian Chargers and Nechako Valley Viqueens (Vanderhoof).

Also competing (alphabetical order): Aberdeen Hall Gryphons (Kelowna), Bulkley Valley Christian Royals (Smithers), Dasmesh Falcons (Abbotsford), Ebenezer Timbers (Smithers), Grand Forks Wolves, Immaculata Mustangs (Kelowna), John Knox Christian Hawks (New Westminster), King David Lions (Vancouver), Nanaimo Christian Trail Blazers, St. John’s School Eagles (Vancouver), St. Margaret’s School Cardinals (Victoria), and Southpointe Academy Titans (Delta).

Tickets are available now, and every game across all four tiers will be streamed live on pay-per-view at TFSETV.ca.
