Thompson-Okanagan Zone sees 3 teams make final 8

Day 1 is complete at the BC School Sports Boys Basketball Provincial Championships.

A total of 64 teams — competing across four tiered tournaments — tipped off four straight days of wall-to-wall action at Langley Events Centre.

The tournament resumes Thursday with the quarterfinal round, beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Tickets are available for purchase and every game of all four championships is also available to stream through pay-per-view at TFSETV.ca. Daily schedules, scores and news can also be found at www.bchighschoolbasketballchampionships.com.


1A Tournament

It was quite the day for the Thompson-Okanagan as all three of their teams – two of them as underdogs – were day one winners at the BC School Sports 1A Boys Basketball Provincial Tournament at Langley Events Centre on Wednesday. Also advancing on day one was the defending champion and top seed.

3:30pm – Ucluelet Warriors (#4) vs. Immaculata (#12)

5:15pm – St. John’s School Eagles (#1) vs. Credo Christian Kodiaks (#8)

7:00pm – Daaxigaan Sḵadáa Née Thunderbirds (#2) vs. Similkameen Sparks (#10)

8:45pm – Vernon Christian Royals (#3) vs. Meadowridge Gryphons (#6)

All four games will be played on the Fieldhouse Court.
