Seven of eight top seeds through to next round in 3A Tournament

The quarter-final round is set after an action-packed opening day at the 2026 BC School Sports Girls Basketball Provincial Championships at Langley Events Centre.
Sixty-four teams — split into four 16-team tournaments — tipped off Wednesday, with upsets shaking up each division.
Seven of the top eight seeds survived opening day in the 3A Tournament.
Quarter-finals:
- Vernon Panthers (#1) take on the lone upset winner, Valleyview Vikes (#9)
- Mark R. Isfeld Ice (#4, Courtenay) vs. Duchess Park Condors (#5, Prince George)
- Langley Christian Lightning (#2) vs. Sa-Hali Sabres (#7, Kamloops)
- St. Michaels University School Blue Jags (#3, Victoria) vs. Pitt Meadows Marauders (#6)
Tip-off at 10:15 a.m. on Centre Court.
