Fighting Irish, Rebels set for Championship Showdown
The field of 32 is down to two.
Top-seeded Vancouver College will meet No. 2 Burnaby South in the championship final of the 2026 Junior Boys Basketball Invitational Tournament on Tuesday (Feb. 24) at 7:00 p.m. on South Court at Langley Events Centre.
Vancouver College is chasing its eighth tournament title since the event began in 1970, while Burnaby South is looking to capture their third championship in program history.

Vancouver College poured in 23 points in the second quarter — with Ren Hethrington knocking down three 3-pointers — as the top seed doubled up Brookswood in Monday’s opening semi-final.
Hethrington led all scorers with 15 points.
After carrying a four-point edge into the second, the Irish broke it open with a 16-2 run and never looked back. The Bobcats trimmed the deficit to 11 early in the third, but Vancouver College answered with the next 12 points to put the game away.
Bruce Williscroft and Balshaan Dhaliwal added 10 points apiece, while Koen Li and Alejandro Lando chipped in nine each. Mason Nohr paced Brookswood with eight.

Down three after one, Burnaby South flipped the script in the second quarter, erupting for 25 points in eight minutes to seize control of its semi-final against Holy Cross. The No. 2 seed Rebels carried that surge into the second half, protecting a double-digit cushion on the way to a 76-64 victory over the third-seed Crusaders.
Miguel Samson paced the charge with 21 points, while Caelan Relova and Emmet Bergholz added 17 and 16, respectively. Isaiah German led the Crusaders with 18 points, with Marko Davidson and Darren Amadi contributing 15 and 13.
