Eagles aim to repeat title

The path to provincial glory is locked in.
The St. John’s School Eagles (1A), Notre Dame Jugglers (2A), St. Patrick Celtics (3A) and Dover Bay Dolphins (4A) enter the 2026 BC School Sports Boys Basketball Provincial Championships as the No. 1 seeds in their respective tiers.
The first three teams are all Vancouver schools while Dover Bay is in Nanaimo.
The official draws were released today (March 1) for the four-day championship tournament set for March 4-7 at Langley Events Centre. The event will showcase 64 teams, 128 games and four provincial champions crowned across the 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A divisions.
1A Tournament
The defending champion St. John’s School Eagles enter as the top seed as the Vancouver school looks to make it back-to-back titles. Daaxigaan Sḵadáa Née Thunderbirds (Masset), Vernon Christian Royals and Ucluelet Warriors round out the top four seeds in the draw.
Completing the field (in alphabetical order) are: the Campbell Rivers Cougars, Credo Christian Kodiaks (Township of Langley), Ebenezer Timbers (Smithers), Immaculata Mustangs (Kelowna), Lakes District Lakers (Burns Lake), Meadowridge Gryphons (Maple Ridge), Mountain Christian Rams (Dawson Creek), Nisga’a Chiefs (New Aiyansh), Queen Margaret’s Royals (Duncan), Similkameen Sparks (Keremeos), Southpointe Academy Titans (Delta) and Sparwood Spartans.
