4A final features Pipers battling Rapids
Championship Saturday is set at Langley Events Centre.
With three days in the books at the BC School Sports Girls Basketball Provincial Championships, eight teams remain in the hunt for provincial glory in their respective tiers as the four-day, 64-team, 128-game championships gets set for its conclusion.
All four finals will be played on the Ken Winslade Court in the Arena Bowl on Saturday (February 28).
1A: Acwsalcta Thunder vs. Cedars Christian – 1:00pm
2A: Holy Cross Crusaders vs. St. Thomas More Collegiate – 3:15pm
3A: Vernon vs. Langley Christian – 5:30pm
4A: Argyle vs. Riverside – 7:45pm
It will be No. 1 versus No. 2 for the provincial crown, as the top-seeded Argyle Pipers and second-seeded Riverside Rapids each captured semi-final victories to set up a championship showdown at the BC School Sports 4A Girls Basketball Provincial Tournament.

Argyle Pipers (#1, North Vancouver) 86 Semiahmoo Thunderbirds (#5, Surrey) 61
Deadlocked after one quarter, the Argyle Pipers shifted into another gear, pulling away for an 86-61 victory over the Semiahmoo Thunderbirds. Sophie Nicholson and Isabella Miljkovic scored 17 points apiece, leading a balanced attack that saw five Pipers finish in double figures. Jaida Claypool paced the Thunderbirds with a game-high 24 points.

Riverside Rapids (#2, Port Coquitlam) 80 M.E.I. Eagles (#3, Abbotsford) 69
Five players scored in double figures, with Francesca Salonga and Henna Virk leading the way at 16 points apiece, as the Riverside Rapids defeated the M.E.I. Eagles 80-69. Julianna Reimer paced the Eagles with 17 points, while Ella Tatlock added 15 in the loss.
