#13 Whundas through to final four after upset victory

The biggest upset of the day saw the Westsyde Whundas earn a spot in the final four with their 78-69 win over the Pacific Christian Pacers.
That earns the No. 13 Whundas (Kamloops) a date with the No. 1 Holy Cross Crusaders (Surrey) while the other side of the draw features the Credo Christian Kodiaks (No. 2, Township of Langley) against the St. Thomas More Collegiate Knights (No. 3 Burnaby) in the BC School Sports 2A Girls Basketball Provincial Tournament.

Credo Christian Kodiaks 72 J.L. Jackson Jays 33
The Credo Christian Kodiaks showcased their depth in a 72-33 win over the J.L. Jackson Jays from Salmon Arm. Presley Kobes scored 17 points, while Kenzie Rapp and Kallie Breukelman also added 17 apiece. Hailey Stam chipped in 16 to round out the balanced effort. Ripley Jonker led the Jays with 10 points.
St. Thomas More Collegiate Knights 53 Pacific Academy Breakers 49
Deadlocked at halftime, the St. Thomas More Collegiate Knights of Burnaby clamped down defensively in the third quarter, limiting the Pacific Academy Breakers of Surrey to just seven points on their way to a 53-49 victory. Mia Beliveau led the Knights with 15 points, while Kyla Limon added 10. Abbey Boehm paced the Breakers with 12 points.
Westsyde Whundas 78 Pacific Christian Pacers 69
Ryen Scott delivered a dominant performance, pouring in 33 points as the 6-foot-1 forward powered the Westsyde Whundas to a 78-69 upset over Victoria’s Pacific Christian Pacers. Meena Litt added 21 points in support, while Kealayna Tupas-Singh scored 28 in the loss for the Pacers.
Holy Cross Crusaders 92 Collingwood Cavaliers 35
Solene Jackson scored 28 points, including 25 in the first half, to lead Surrey’s Holy Cross Crusaders to a commanding 92-35 victory over the Collingwood Cavaliers. Chloe Cechini paced the Cavaliers with eight points.
