NUMBER 8 LOOKING TO BE NUMBER 1

Township of Langley, BC (Friday, March 3, 2017) The 2017 BC Secondary School AAA Girls Championship held 4 games in the championship bracket which featured the comeback kids upsetting another higher seed.

The first game of the bracket was #8 Lord Tweedsmuir taking on #5 Panorama Ridge. The second game featured #2 Abbotsford against #3 Brookswood.

“When you come off a huge win like we did last night, the fear is that you come out flat and soft in the next game,” said Lord Tweedsmuir Head Coach Curtis McCrae. “That happened tonight. Their best player was dominant in the first half but our girls adjusted and battled in the second half and really changed the tide with our defence.”

The Championship Final begins tomorrow when #8 Lord Tweedsmuir takes on #2 Abbotsford at 6:30pm inside Centre Court in the Langley Events Centre. If you are unable to attend the game you can watch it live here.

For full tournament scores and seeding’s visit the AAA Girls’ Website.
