DAY 2 RECAP: FINAL FOUR SET

Township of Langley, BC (February 26, 2017) Just as quickly as the tournament began, it has turned into the Final Four bracket.

Day two of the 48th annual event featured 16-games on Sunday and much like opening day there was a significant upset. As #11 North Delta defeated #3 St. George’s School. Other victors included #2 Charles Tupper defeating #26 Pitt Meadows, #4 West Vancouver defeating #5 R.E. Mountain, and #8 Burnaby South defeating #16 Okanagan Mission.

“Every round is amping up and the final four really represent a great geographic region in British Columbia,” said Howard Tsumura. “We are seeing really great players in this tournament. I think if you took an all-star team of the best players from this tournament and played them in senior varsity, they would be just fine. The Final Four is going to be fantastic and I think the Final is going to be unbelievable and will showcase the future of BC basketball.”

The Final Four will begin on Monday when Sir Charles Tupper takes on North Delta at 6:00pm at the South Court and West Vancouver plays Burnaby South at 7:30pm on the South Court.

The two winners of the Final Four game will play in the Championship game on Tuesday, February 28th at 6:00pm on the South Court.
